Mosaic mold

Post by Jenna »

Does anyone know where to buy one of these? I found this on warmglass UK but it is out of stock. I have done an exhaustive Google search and couldn't seem to find another source. I would love to get my hands on one. Any leads would be much appreciated.

You'll find the equivalent perhaps in a different size new at your building supply center or used at your local recycling business. Looks like a fluorescent ceiling fixture light diffuser grid.

Not sure the plastic diffuser will withstand the heat of my kiln. :D
This is a casting mold to create glass tiles. In my search I found a Chinese company that makes similar out of corderite but not only are there designs in the squares, I would need to order 200. I'm hoping to find just one.

Hi,

that mold is from http://www.warm-glass.co.uk/100-squares ... -1214.html

It is out of stock. I have registered to be notified when available, for 2 molds.

If several of us register, they might get them in stock sooner...might be worth a try.

Cheers, seachange

I did register for 2, got notified by email and ordered them (they only got two in stock).

Have just arrived, very well packed (specified this in the order), no damage in transport from England to Australia.

Jenna, what were you intending to use them for? Glass tiles from frit or powder perhaps? It looks like they will order them in if you register, but don't seem to get extra for their own stock.

Best regards, seachange
