Sharpie paint pens

Post by vblue »

Has anyone successfully used the Sharpie paint pens in the kiln? (not the permanent marker type.)

Thanks,

Yes. I love them. The Oil Based ones. I made 35 Red Cardinals and offered people personal names on them. They came out beautifully. I used the extra fine point

How high did you fire the paint from the pens?

I tried the silver and gold pens. The gold turned dark but the silver was okay. I took it to around 1500. Have you tried any other colors?
