Best Glue for Garden Stakes

Post by grammy »

I am replacing some glass for a client in their garden stakes. So these will be outside. The stakes do not have a way to "clip" in the glass, only glueing to the metal. What glue would be best? E6000?

I don't trust e6000 as I have had some failures. Loctite h30cl hysol works great and stays crystal clear.

GE Silicone 2 will do the job well. I have outside installations now 15yrs old.... outside 4 seasons with NO failures!

I'm with Don; silicone is my choice for outdoors.

Thanks. I did not find the Loctite that was mentioned but got an epoxy for metal to glass.

Don, do you ever get mold growing on the cured silicone?

Guess you can't replace it with grout, as we now have to do at all the floor/wall junctions in the showers. Damn! Jen
