Tile saw blade

Post by James Lavoie »

I have used an MK100 tile saw for many years - exclusively with MK Diamond’s 215GL blade. I’ve had that blade on back-order for 6 months now and need to look at alternatives. I know nothing about those offered by Rubi, Alpha, Monolit, etc. I’m hoping someone can offer some comparison of the various brands, as there seem to be a lot to choose from now.

His Glassworks says they have them in stock: https://www.hisglassworks.com/grinding- ... 215gl.html

I recently purchased the MK303, which works just as well (might even cut better) from these guys: https://www.rockshed.com/product-catego ... nd-blades/ The company's a bit unethical because the blades I was sent didn't come with the MK label. They swore they were the same thing and they do perform as well as the genuine item, but I'm a little hesitant to mention the company because I feel it's unethical to do what they did.

I bought my blade at Home Depot. DeWalt Glass Tile Blade. About $24. Used it to cut 100's of bottles and slags.
