My first photo posting....

Post by Dave Pascoe »

Hello everyone...

Well, Kelly has inspired me to post a picture of some of my work.

I`ve been doing a lot of work with patterns latley, and this is a piece that came out this week. It is 23cm square.

Here`s the link: http://community.webshots.com/photo/128 ... 1708CEwOnH

And a close-up shot of the pattern: http://community.webshots.com/photo/128 ... 3174Obpgfn

More photos to follow soon.

Although the pattern is quite complicated, I feel that the piece is refreshing and simplistic at the same time.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Hi Dave - good to see a fellow South-Westerner!

I like the dish - it is a good choice of colours, giving it - as you say - a 'refreshing' look.
Did you start by making stacks of glass to get the concentric colours? The cross shapes are baffling me though..

Hi Dave
The pattern is very friendly, blue is a color that gives me the feeling of freshness.
Congratulations

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the kind words. It`s silly, but I was pretty nervous about posting the photos.

Today is one of those good days. A case of bullseye arrived at my workshop this morning.

This is the thing about working for yourself; I can`t wait to get into work and open up the kiln, even on a monday morning!!!! It`s great.....

Now I can get cutting and make all the new ideas I`ve had latley....

Hi Peg, you don`t bump into many SW ers around here. Hope things are going well for you....

Yes...thank you Cynthia...it was exactly what I meant.
I had some trouble with my "emotions" that day...(or was it just my lab Willie who is always bumping my elbow when I type!)

Appreciate the edit..thougt it worked the 2nd time I gave it a go!
