cutting 1/4" float

I have just been given a 20" x 22" 1/4" thick piece of float
I have only cut straight lines in float ...never circles
is this going to be a bugger? I have a can of Coleman fuel
is that close enought to kerosene? just wipe it on?

Not at all. I'm assuming you have a circle cutter. If you have a choice of wheels, use a dull one. I use a paint brush to paint the fuel on the glass before I score. I think Kerosene is less something than Coleman fuel, so just be careful not to spill it. press hard enough to make the cutter sing, but not too hard. Finish the circle but don't overlap much.

I usually have the strength to start 1/4" glass by flipping it over and pressing with my thumb directly over the score. If you are a wimp and can't do this find the archive and make on of my screwdriver tools and it will do the job for the weak of thumb. (LOL... I don't quite have the strength to do 3/8" , but I have seen others who do.)
