Borax Spray

I am getting ready to fire a 1/4" float and a post warn me to be sure I use borax. I have never use this. I am going to be putting frit on top of this should I spray the borax over the project after I get the frit in place or just on the the float. :?: Thnaks for the help

Is the frit 'float compatable'? I use float glass all the time and spray with Fusemaster clearcoat overspray with no devit problems. I always put tin side down for double safety.

The recipe for borax spray is in the old archoives many times. I think it may have been put in FAQ or tutorial. Making your own is cheap and easy.

You can get away with spraying before or after doing your frit work. It depends on what you are doing with the frit. If you were covering the entire surface with frit, you probably don't need it, but if the frit is in patches you probably will.
