FABRIC FIRING?

Post by Ann Demko »

Just viewed the rest of Patty Grays pics and have a question on the fabric firing. Does one just take the piece to tack fuse in order to not lose the texture of all those cute litle stringers? Then can you slump the piece and it would stay altogether? Ann Demko

You can make it water tight if you use a sheet of glass on the surface which will become the inside of the piece. That isn't the way I normally did the process but I did at times for certain individuals. The ones that Corning bought were completely stringer.

It's just a tad more than a tack fuse and the pattern is on the underside which becomes the outside.

Have fun,
