when fusing two pieces of glass side by side?

when fusing two pieces of glass side by side?

I fused a large platter 15x 10 and used two pieces of clear glass on the bottom (instead of one piece). When the firing was done, there was a visable line in the clear glass on the bottom. If I fired hotter would it disappear?
