Need Help With Dichroic Bracelet Mold

Post by candala »

I have the bracelet mold (large) and the graphite tongs. I just don't remember how to measure the glass. Is it the wrist size less one inch and then slump it on the mold? Any one with experience with this, please help. Thanks.

The rule for 1½ layers of glass is to use wrist size minus 1/2". For two layers it's wrist size minus 5/8". This is also dependent on wrist thickness... for someone with a thick wrist, you may have to increase that number. This is one of the frustrations of the glass bracelets.

Also, build up your mold with fiber paper until you have a circumference of the wrist size plus 1/4 to 1/2"
