Is there an art form called plastic blowing where people uses hot or cold plastic as a blowing material ? I need extreme high refractive , colorable , plastics to create big dancing , deforming multilayers.

I welcome every kind of suggestions , please stop by and post an idea.

I googled it and its a polyurethane and polyethylene use with dyes. If they cast in to molds , its a little bit in order technique. Is there anyone who formulated the recipes for these plastics. May be there are 100000 different polyurethane formula out there. He claims , its totally different technique than glass.

I am looking for a plastic which in form of hot glass. How can we find the technical terms defines the studio glass hot and search for a plastic like an honey and can be heated and blowed.

I need the technological terms , science behind the hot plastic and hot glass terminology.

If anyone could shed a light on this material search , I would be glad.

I honestly am one of those who purposely doesn't rubberneck when passing an accident. However on the internet, I'll watch nearly anything.

We have a plastics supply store in our area. They sell all sorts of plastics and I would start there. So look up plastic retailers to get a start or look for their websites. There are many companies that form plastics for different purposes so if you keep calling places that sell plastics, you should eventually find someone that can give you some possibilities.

Dale, from what i was told, bought an existing company that was already developing this techinque and it was established by a chemist that worked to formulate the right plastic that would work. As I recall that was in the early to mid 90's. It may be a little tricky trying to get the actual composition of what they have used. Dale has not been one to share many things when it comes to technique.
Some people with a good understanding of blowmolding and vacuum forming would be a good place to start.

it appears that PolyVitro is a urethane resin polymer.....that would send me to one of the resin casting houses for info. I would suggest contacting Excel-Cast in Indiana. http://www.excel-cast.com/. They may be able to point you in a direction on a possible supplier in Istanbul. I also know that mannequins (high end!!) are produced in Istanbul and these are also made from resin so they might be able to find a supplier-- knowing that you are looking for a specific kind of urethane.
