I am thinking about getting a ring saw to cut irregular shapes out of standard thickness System 96. What is the current consensus regarding the saws that are presently on the market?
Thanks,
Terry

I use the Taurus 3 - it works fine for 3mm glass. I've also cut thicker (up to 3 layers) - it's very hard on the blade, but it will do it.

Reviewed the Taurus III several years ago, but the review's still valid:

i use the taurus 3 for production, depending on what i'm doing i use either the speed blade - so far the longest lasting - or the mega blade. the standard blade is for single thickness - up to 3mm - only or you can break it - yes, i've broken 2 way back. despite the plastic used, it's held up well for 7 or 8 yrs now.
