Am I heating my dichro for too long?

I had a square of dichro that was supposed to be emerald green.
In the package, it looked green.
After firing, there was no color at all, only a few sparkles here and there. Definitely no green.
I used a simple square of dichro topped with a square of Tekta clear.
This is the BE fusing schedule that I use for all of my simple stud earrings.
300 dph to 1150, and hold for 20 minutes.
300 dph to 1450, and hold for another 20 minutes.
Full to 900, hold 30 min
100 dph to 700
then off

I could show a picture, if that would help. But it only shows plain old clear squares.

I've heated dichro for longer and hotter than that and never had that happen. which brand dichro is it?

Did you buy the Fuse stuff sold at Hobby Lobby? If so, it's pretty crap-tastic. I have over-heated it and lost the dichro shine.

I don't remember where I bought it, but it was someplace cheap-o.
I noticed that the dichro showed up in the package and there was a black background.
I have layered my two, already fused pieces on black squares. I also am going to heat to a higher temperature.

My new question is; now that it is 3 layers, will it process at 1490 d for 10 minutes, or should I leave it longer?
I couldn't find the answer on BE website.

Don't expect good results from something that is not real dichroic glass.

1490? Uh... I guess so. I usually fire around 1565 in my large kiln, and 1550 in my small one. It depends on what you want and how hot your kiln actually fires. Sorry dude.
