I am so sorry about your little dog. I am a veterinarian and I see a lot of cancer in dogs. I don't know if it is more prevalent or if we are diagnosing it better due to more specialized equipment we have available now. I do believe environmental factors play a big role in it as well. I had four cases of lymphoma in different breeds of dogs form the same neighborhood. It is never easy for the owner or the pet

My dog has liver cancer. She had one of her liver lobes removed last month. Survival time is about 1400 days with or without chemo. I will cherish all the time I have left with her. She is a pitbull who came from Katrina. She was a foster failure. She was named Debris after the wonderful debris (leftover meat and gravy at the bottom of the pot) on Mother's restaurant roast beef poboys. Bagel, the beagle in the picture died of lung cancer two years ago.

I wonder if it is from all of the toxic gmo grains in the food.
