I just finished a new group of smaller (8x10x1) frit paintings that I wanted to share. I'm focusing on the mood of the landscapes, as well as more detail.

Good work!... if these are 1" thick I'd photo them without the stands.

Don, they are about 1" thick, I use stands because I have LED light boards (8x10x.25) behind the glass.

I'm with Don, the stands are distracting (the work is lovely!).
Also, regarding the photos, get closer, make the white in the foreground less so and shade into it much more gradually, and straighten the work (photoshop).
Have you thought about a shadowbox frame?
Did I say the work is good?

These are beautiful. Compared to your earlier works, which are equally but more starkly beautiful, these have more color and more aggressive attention to shading. Apples and oranges.

The stands are a little clunky looking on this smaller work. I should find some with smaller diameter metal. I appreciate the photo comments, I am by no means a photographer ( I have one I can call if I need good pics). I have thought about lightboxes, but I like to see the satin polished, 1 inch thick edges, and don't want to see any metal around them.

Oh my, these are such wonderful compositions and great frit work.

These are lovely. I tried to choose a favorite, but just can't choose between them.

I would love to know about the LED panels. Do they require plugging in? What is a good source for these? What are the dimensions? Have you attached them to the glass or are they held in place by the stand...or ???

I do agree with others that it would be great to display without the stands, which distract IMO.

These are LED edge lit panels. They plug into an outlet and use a transformer to step down to 12 volts. I use dimmers with them. They are rated for 50,000 to 70,000 hours, and this size (8x10) uses 2watts of electricity. You can get more info at my supplier luminousfilm.com. I just place them behind the glass, no attachment.

Do you just stand the LED panel behind the work or are you able to conceal it in some way?

If the pieces are displayed in front of natural light, do you still need the panels?

Have you considered standing them on a flat base? Since they are an inch thick, that should work.... perhaps w/a bit of museum gel.....just a thought.

Again, your work is amazingly beautiful.
