Hello All,
I know that this color changes while being fired. It becomes grey instead of blue. It remains blue if it is capped, mostly with clear transparent glass, such as tekta 1108, or 1401.

I wonder if the same happens when I use powder 0146.
If I want the glass to remain steel blue - do I have to have to cap it? with clear transparent powder???

PS is it possible perhaps to mix the 0146 with clear, to avoid the change of color???

I want the opposite - if I use the steel blue powder uncapped will I get silver color where the powder is - even if it is a tiny line?

I've never used BE0146 powder, but my limited experience with #2 & #3 frit is that firing in the 1450F - 1475F range is almost guaranteed to turn it grey (uncapped) but if you fire the hell out of it (>1500F) it will lose the grey and turn back to blue again.

I think Steel Blue is one of those colors where test samples are your best friend.

Have you used it on black background? Could you see it ???? This is what I basically plan, 0146 ON black sheet.
