Over lapping stainless steel molds

I have two stainless steel weaving molds. The original is 7" x 16" that I purchased years ago from Mike Fraiser. When he stopped producing the molds, I took the mold to a metal manufacturing company and had a 15" x 15" mold made. I need a couple more inches of mold space to make the size weave I want.
Can I put one mold on top of the other with more weaving space exposed or put one mold on the shelf and the larger one on small kiln posts above it? The glass would only go on the exposed part of the mold.
My concern is the heat where the molds overlap......could this cause problems?
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Vernelle
