Plugging the hole

Post by Franzeska »

Hi all-

I recently had some bricks replaced in my kiln. I didn't notice it when the repairman was at the house, but he didn't make a hole in a brick large enough to accept the plug that came with the kiln. I have 1/8" fiber paper. Could I use that to plug the hole? Would there be a problem if I didn't plug the hole?

I have contacted the kiln mfr., but they won't replay until Monday at the earliest, and I would like to run the program on Sunday when I can be home to monitor the kiln. I'd hate to wait another week...

TIA

Both will work fine, I fire my ovation with no plugs, and have used fibre blanket when I've broken plugs
