Multiple high hest firings

Does anyone know if firing multiple times (5-7) at 1600 and higher makes the glass unstable?

It does.

I'd be leery of firing more than once (and twice at the most) at temperatures above 1600F/870C. Incompatibility can result. It's especially likely with whites, with glasses containing aventurine, with glasses containing gold, and with pieces you absolutely don't want it to happen.

Thanks Brad. That explains my problem.

When Bullseye first started there were some colours that you could fuse but try a second firing and it would break.
Now the description I believe is 3 full fuse firings.
Since fuse firings are nowhere near those temperatures you are way over any chances of stability.
I only fire glass twice for that reason.
