LATVIAN Glass Artists

Post by Tyler Frisby »

SVEIKS (HI)

Are there any Latvian glass makers out there???

I am moving to Riga in May and want to set up a studio. Any ideas about the best places to get equipment?

Any contacts????

Yes, it is cold and dark there in the winter, but it is beautiful, peaceful and Latvians are the best.

Cool. My father was born in Riga, I've always wondered what it is like out there. I didn't make it out there when I visited Europe, but hope to do so sometimes.

Hello,
I am not Latvian but Estonian glass artist - my studio is about 300km from Riga in Tallinn. I have 2 friend in Riga - more stained glass artists but I think they know about Latvian glass.
There is no good equipment stores in Baltic sountries, but in Finland and Danmark. :)
