Space Glass

I am certain this is the proper place to post this. We are participants in one of the most ancient, and yet the most futuristic medium there is. Prepare to be awed :o at what space experiments have discovered about glass. :!: (Also, be sure to check out the links, including Henry Halem's GlassNotes.) This is incredible! - Barbara

Paul Marioni told me that he once contacted NASA about making big glass lenses in space. Blowing glass is a snap in zero gravity.

Thenks for the fascinating article! Glass is an incredible material. Makes me wish I could start school all over in ceramic engineering. It would really be neat to see what effects would be produced in zero gravity pate de verre castings.
