Brock,
I was just reading through bulletin board. How do you make the mold using wet felt?
Thanks for your reply.

Devit only with certain colors
Hi, I've been reading about devit in the archives and don't really know what to do with my problem. I'm using Bullseye Glass and don't have any devit problems with any colors except the orange and the coral colors. I also don't have it on every piece. Am I maybe leaving some film of dish washing det...

Laying fiber paper down
Hi,
Does anyone know if fiber paper can be pieced together on the kiln shelf and then have the glass laid on top? The pieces of fiber paper are pretty big. What will happen if the glass is laid over the spot where the papers meet?
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
marilyn

a successful fuse
Hi,
I wanted to say thanks to Jerry and Kitty for their help with my
bubble problem. I did use fiber paper and had a perfectly
fused round piece. Jerry, I followed your firing schedule. Today
I am slumping the piece. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks,
Marilyn

Thanks Kitty. I have checked my shelf and it is flat. I'm thinking that maybe I will get a smaller shelf as mine is very close to the edge of the kiln and some posts that will raise it a little higher. am I having trouble with the larger circle because they are larger? Maybe I should also go to 1450...

three large bubbles
Hi, I'm new to fusing and am having success fusing and slumping rectangular pieces, about 4 x 7 using two layers of BE glass with different size pieces on top. The last two round pieces measuring 12" in diameter with the same glass structure have gotten three large bubbles in the center area, j...

Got rid of my devit, now holes
Hi all, Got rid of my devit. Thanks for your help. Last night I fused a circular piece with shapes on top. I added some frit in spaces between the pieces. The frit was not all exactly the same size as I smashed it myself. As I was flash venting, I saw two smooth holes toward the bottom of the circle...

I combined frit with different size pieces of glass on a solid base. Am I le...
