Rodney: Brock was, I think, replying to your comment about mixing colored FRIT with clear FRIT/SCRAP. If you do that, you'll get "spots" of color. I am suggesting you mix colored POWDER with gum arabic and clear FRIT. This should yield a consistent color, but there are a lot of variables: ...

Rodney: You can take a small amount (a few teaspoons full depending on the saturation you want to acheive) of Kugler POWDER (or Bullseye powder, for that matter), mix with a small amount a gum arabic and then mix with clear large frit. The powder/gum arabic mixture will coat the frit and will produc...

WGW I was on the West Coast; WGW II was on the East Coast. Isn't it the Midwest's turn? Chicago--for ease access from all over the country, among other amenities, although I will admit there are few facilities for pre- or post-conference workshops. I would also concur that the time has come to...

To those of us of a certain age (and for whom Sean Connery is the ONLY James Bond) that's not an obscure movie reference at all.

Barbara is correct, polymer clay is a plastic that BAKES in a toaster oven (or regular oven) for about 10 minutes at 250-275 degrees depending on brand. Anything over that and it will burn and give off toxic fumes--definitely not the material you want to use for glass molds. As Barbara suggested, tr...
