Phil,

The stainless steel rings....do sound like fun! I've had some thoughts on them, I do need to get a few in different sizes and give them a try.

I think first it will be the patterns bars.

windows in bowls/plates?

I have been wondering how those windows/holes (which are glass) in bowls/plates are done! Here is how I think they have been done: #1 idea is: pieces of glass leave the window/holes in glass and filling with different colored glass or. I have done this I'm just not very good at it! I put dicro to dicro all the time. I love the carckle look. I took a class from Shriley Webster what seems like a long time ago. She suggested this look. I like it, when it works. Other wish it looks like anything piece. I've never had to sand blast....maybe I've been lucky.

Agree about what does what have to feed one self. Right now I don't know! But it is a question I wil have to find out before making any type of move to do it full time. Maybe one it can be done. If not then it's a nice hobby.

Production Work

I guess my question is how do you decide what part of your work is production line. I do jewerly, for the most part it is wire wrap. I do want to get into casting and silversmithing. I have given this subject some thought. I guess I'm just stumped since none of mine seems to fit or does it? But I do...

There is Hot Box in Walnut Creek. The Civic Arts in Walnut Creek also offeres fusing classes. I don't know how far you are willing to travel for classes.
