Crashing a kiln is hard on bricks, not elements . . . Really not elements? I'd heard it was difficult on both, and would wear the elements out faster. Now trying to figure out where I've heard that. So how would you know if a mold is suitable for fusing, and slumping? I thought you could only slump with molds, not fuse........ (Super novice, here). Not a bad question though.
