I know I'm quite behind in this discussion but thought I would add what little knowledge I have to the mix ... Robyn, I use diamond tipped burs - they come in a wide variety of shapes from points to balls and straight cylinders, and I grind off the irid finish that way. It's a simple and effective p...

Hi there, I just went with a similar situation myself - although I was a co-op member - you did mention it was a co-op and sometimes these places are run on a very touchy feely type approach. I first made sure I was accepted into another gallery (also co-op), and was selling well. I then approached ...

HI Barbara, It's probably too late to be of any help, but my Skutt manual says Err 4 - Program ramping down and temperature more than 50 degrees above last hold temperature. Error must persist for more than 18 seconds before the error is triggered. I have a small Skutt kiln but I thin the glassmaste...

Sharpening glass blade with sharpening stone
Ok ... it's time to sharpen my mk 215 gl blade on my tile saw. In the archives Dee (?) says to use a silicon carbide dressing stick and just slice a piece off when you need to sharpen it. I have a silicon carbide sharpening stone that I bought to do the job. Is it the same thing? Or is the dressing ...

Oh my gosh - my mind is all over the place on this topic! How very fascinating ... Where to begin ... (and much of this may end up contradictory in nature) ... Background first - I originally trained (went to Art college - is that training?) as a fashion textile designer and worked in the field for ...

mark, Sorry, not an answer to your question, but I've been looking for a good price on an MK (the 100) ... the best I've seen so far is ToolsDirect ... however, for the 370 the builders resource price is lower. Do you have a web address for builders resource? I looked but there was nothing specific....

Rio Grande sells sterling silver strip that you can can wrap one end around a dowel or other suitable mandrel type item, and cut to length. Make sure you buy the metal soften...
