Re: Auto rear view mirror glue
I think I read once that the little tubes of glue you can be to re-affix your rearview mirror are UV glue. If so, will it work glass-to-glass? Both pieces are clear and as cold as it has been here, the Texas sun is as bright as ever. Thanks, Paul Mirrors are not bonded with a UV glue but with a cat...

Barbara, You see if this was any other product like ....say software....especially from a certain company in Redmond you would call this a feature. In fact they would change their EULA (End User License Agreement) to reflect this and then want to charge you more for it!!! Phil Boy, talk a...

Anyone think there's a chance that the players could bounce this particular ball together? BB That's a tough one. The fact that BE made specific changes to fix the problem with their primer implies they have some specific ideas around cause. That puts them a step closer solving the problem and addi...

<snip>But B.E. is just one of the courts in which this ball bounces. This thread alone indicates that pitting might occur with other manufacturers as well, plus home-made irid.<snip> I've changed the name of this thread to reflect the fact that this isn't limited to one manufacturer and to minimize...

Hi everyone-- I have a little more information to add to the points I mentioned above---actually a correction: while testing a year or so ago, we did see a trend for the irid reaction based on which shelf separator was used. The irid foamy bubble reaction does seem to happen more often when the iri...

Hi-- Here is what I know about the phenomenon where occasionally the irid bubbles when in contact from the shelf release. 1. It happens only occasionally. 2. When it does happen, it seems to happen where the irid is silver color. The color of the irid comes from the thickness of the irid coating. T...

Irid pitting - revisited
The pic below shows irid pitting. The glass is BE (the irid is rainbow irid on clear). There are two irid layers (on top of another layer) -- never irid-to-irid. The glass was fired twice -- both times irid down on thinfire. First firing was to about 1500F, the second to 1440F. Everything is flat - ...

Re: New addition to the menagerie
Just playing with some more techniques. BE French vanilla with silver foil accents, brass inserts and ebony handle. Fused freestanding in the kiln, no sand with this one. Nice gloss finish too. Ron Facinating Ron. I'm guess evenitity above stress point and than quick heat up and down to soften the ...

another tile saw question
Curious if anyone has used this style of saw: http://constructioncomplete.com/cc/images/biggest/biggest_QEP0020.jpg How does it compare with the "moving table" style of the MK and QEP saws discussed above. After a couple days using the MK-101 the idea of the saw moving instead of the table...

Any direct marketing campaign has three components: 1) list 2) offer 3) creative (words/design) To be successful these three things should be determined together -- get one wrong and you've likely wasted your money. The traditional way to do this is a/b split tests -- keep trying the campaign to sma...

Hi Paul: I've rented MK's for various classes I teach out-of-state. So, I've used both brands. I think MK's work well. And for all the features, etc I got with my QEP, I find it a better value. Robin I have the same saw Robin, about $400.00 CDN cheaper than the MK. Performance is identical. BTW, I ...

Hi Paul: When I was comparing the MK's last year - I discovered QEP saws. For the price, hp and other features, I ended up buying a QEP with 2-1/2 hp. The price difference was substantial (savings of hundreds) and a heavy duty stand was included with the QEP. I love my QEP. Here's the site if you a...
