I've used the clear bump-ons and they work fine... however, what I don't like is on a transparent glass coaster, even the clear ones can be seen from the top. Opal glass is no problem. Anyone else agree... or maybe I'm just being too picky about the look.

Good Ideas
I'll try creating a flat surface on the stringers, which sounds fairly easy to do. If that doesn't work, creating a channel seems like a sure thing.
