Thanks Brock - I think I am going to buy it. I think I've thought everything through, and even have had the electrician out, but I'm wondering....is something like this too good to be true!?? I mean, this kiln is literally less than 1/3 the price of it new. Well we'll just have to see. Wish me luck :D

Switching to 6-30 plug for kiln
Hi warmglass users - I'm having difficulty determining how to proceed with solving my electrical needs in order to purchase a kiln. Our house has a 220 line going to it for the air conditioner and the dryer, but no plug in the area where we're going to keep the kiln. An electrician gave us an estima...

Bert - I'm new to fusing gold into glass. You mean you can paint on the luster and then fuse it into the glass, or are you saying to fuse first and pain on the luster after? Do you have any product recommendations for the luster? I want to start including gold in my fusings/castings. Thanks, -Stepha...

Kiln near classic cars?
I'm buying my first kiln and have a question about placement. We've asked every dealer we've talked to, and they all say that you can place it wherever you want as long as you leave about 18" clearance around the kiln from anything flammable. The garage, where we've decided to put the kiln, has...

Thanks, everyone, for your useful information. I basically needed the scoop on these brands... I've sort of gotten used to consumer reports and epinions.com before making major purchases. I'm going to keep researching and getting information. Please feel free to respond to this or PM me with any mor...

Please give any advice you can. I'm buying my first kiln and I really don't want to pick the wrong one. I've been researching online, but need some advice and answers. A little about me: I have been taking glass classes for about three years, and want to start doing work at home. I am looking for a ...
