And Charlie is our shy King of Maglesses who gives a resounding Non. A pity since being from sunny AZ, he could have added some thermal balance to the cold-cutting. Then we would have dermal and thermal balance. Balance is so important.

If I don't hear from Revjerry by tomorrow, there will be a slot open. Contact the kings and have them on standby, please.
The King of Maglesses says Nein, Nix, Nada, Never, Not! That leaves the King of Coldworking. The question is... which Tony is already on the list??

I STILL NEED CHERYL AND REV JERRY!! [/b] And I'm waiting on LUSCIOUS LISA'S NEW PIC!! :D Is there a waiting list for folks who want to participate? If a couple of spots free up, I vote for the King of Maglesses and the King of Coldworking to send pics. The calendar will really seem naked without th...

I have used a water base with the reuches paint, I then sandwich between 2 layers at 1525 and the result was that my opaque paint faded way.The Reuches paint that I used was a 1250 recommended. However they also have a higher temperature paint for slumping. That might be better. I only fuse the Reu...

Maybe he could borrow my crown hardhat. There's a thought. Did you know I make crowns? Seriously. Everybody should have their own crown. I half-seriously considered a gift line called The Crown Jewels. I even designed a line of Queenpins. LOL. You know, for those times when the real crown is just to...

I use the Reusche paints mixed with vegetable glycerin and water to make an "ink" about the consistency of India ink, then draw using a crow quill pen. These have to be fired at roughly 1300 degrees before you sandwich under clear and fuse. I do fuse uncured black sandwiched between a colo...

I love those rolling ladders.... and the heavy-duty hand truck/wagon combo that's on sale right now. That could be very useful for anyone doing shows.

And, of course we must mention, the writer of Atlas Shrugged and similar tomes. I was so enamored with her work for a short time, that I almost joined the Libertarian party. Fortunately, I read enough of her non-fiction to realize she was a bit of a nut. That said, I'm all for a good bargain. Best r...

I suspect the state of mind of the cutter as well as the warmth of the hands has as much to do with the ability to cut and break glass well as the effect of temperature on the glass itself. This would be a fun demo at a conference with icy pieces of glass just out of the hotel freezer.

Nice work... love the lamps. I'm not much of a hausfrau when it comes to cleaning, glass included, so just use overspray during the fuse on everything I fire. That seems to be the insurance I need to prevent devit almost always. Did you use an overspray like Superspray?

My kilns are side-firing ceramic kilns. I'd suggest you try it the way it is first and see if it doesn't do the job just fine for you. They if you're not satisfied, buy another top-firing one. I still haven't found an overwhelming need to buy a top-firing kiln, but that's due to the nature of my wor...

I've had two galleries and rep'd a lot of artists in the last fifteen years. And had a few artists statements cross my desk. No offense, but 90% of them end up in the slush pile. They're too long. Keep it short and powerful if you want someone to read it... and take the time to understand it. A whil...

If it was my statement, I'd use the last paragraph and call it good. Not that the rest isn't interesting, but the ending statement says it. My artist statement has gotten really short. "I am a retired professional artist. I am now a hobbyist."
