I don't have any place around me where I can buy molds, so I am still moldless, and I almost have no other course of action than to give these vendors another shot! :-) I know I probably look like the bad guy to some of you for voicing my situation, but I can't do anything about that. If things turn...

So let me get this straight.... if I ordinarily do a lot of liturgical work and stuff dealing with altars.... I should now go for, what? pornography and make something that goes in the bathroom?? Um... I dunno, it could get ugly. Beyond ugly even.  Maybe I'll try landscapes in gold leaf...

Be careful with any of the low-fire Reusches which cure out at about 1050 degrees. The potential problem, in a sealed unit as you describe, is the risk of corrosion to the low-fire paints. When the unit leaks in 10-12 years, the combination of water vapor, dessicant, and solar can create nitric acid...

Don, I love that last sentence! ROFLO. I know just what you mean. One of my favorite exercises is to create a piece using black, my favorite color, and my least fave. I like Jackie's exercise because I ordinarily like formality, ornament, and well thought-out design... and color. I might just try so...

LOL. See what I mean.... they answer their phones RooSHAY. I guess even if they're wrong, they have a right to pronounce their own name any way they want. Still, I find it odd that they've taken on a French tone. Probably another one of those things that goes back to Ellis Island, what do you think?

Ammonia is murder on lead, too.... best to just stay away from the Windex and be sure the customer knows it, too. Benign neglect is the best thing for them to learn. As to putty, don't use any hardening agents like portland cement in your mix, or Plaster of Paris which will create lime bloom over ti...

Reminds me of a Pastor friend who was commending the New American Standard version to his huffy great aunt, who told him if the King James version was good enough for the apostle Paul it was good enough for her! What more could he say... Which goes to show you how folks skew the facts... the King J...
