Re: custom iron stands??...like "Just Stands"
Dana, thanks for much for recommending Dave Hardell. I did order from him, sending dimensions, descriptions and photos of similar stands to what I wanted. I just received two new stands from him and I am very pleased, so I do join you in recommending his work. Colleen Gyori his web site: http://www....

custom iron stands??...like "Just Stands"
Just wondering if anyone knows of a source for custom, iron stands, like I so liked ordering from "Just Stands" before he retired?
He was trying to sell his business, so perhaps someone bought it. Or, if you know of another similar source.
Thanks,
Colleen

firing bronze or copper clay
I'm interested in playing with some of the metal clays (bronze and copper), so I've downloaded lots of info. The object is placed in a covered, enclosed stainless still firing pan. Within the pan, the piece is completely surrounded by activated carbon. According to the info, it can be fired in a gla...

Re: more frit paintings
Thank you so much for the info. I've thought of searching out something like this.. Do you just stand the LED panel behind the work or are you able to conceal it in some way? If the pieces are displayed in front of natural light, do you still need the panels? Have you considered standing them on a f...

Re: more frit paintings
These are lovely. I tried to choose a favorite, but just can't choose between them. I would love to know about the LED panels. Do they require plugging in? What is a good source for these? What are the dimensions? Have you attached them to the glass or are they held in place by the stand...or ??? I ...

Re: Kiln stand
I also went to a restaurant supply place and got a steel stand with large casters, just 19.5"h and 48"X30"....with a shelf underneath. It was intended to be a stand for a commercial barbecue and it works great with my Skutt. There is lots of room for conveniently stacking kiln furnitu...

splash guards/surround
Any ideas re. splash shields for tile saw & flat grinders??? I've searched the board but have not found any that address what I'm needing. I have created a framework with pvc pipe and draped a shower curtain from it for my tile saw, but I'm wondering if there isn't a better solution. Also, I now...

....so fascinating to see how you create your amazing scenes. Thanks for sharing so much of your technique and inspiration. I am needing to order a new saw blade. I've always used Result blades, but I'm wondering if there might be something better available. I sometimes cut thick slabs (1-1.5")...

Glue and/or epoxy for pendants
A short time ago I read a post here from someone who uses Future Glue Brush On and Epoxy obtained from A & A in a two step procedure for attaching pendants to silver bails. Now, I have ordered the products but searched and searched through the archives and can't find that post.
Any help?

shelf height?
I have the Skutt 1014, which has elements in the lid and sides. The shelf is 22" and I have 1" posts under it. My two attempts with a drop ring failed and I am wondering if raising the shelf higher might help. Any opinions on best shelf position??? I need all the help I can get....and this...

Floral form drape....help!!
My collection of "learning" projects keeps growing. ... I tried my first drape over a floral former (tall) and it actually worked. (10" square placed on top of form, with 7" square on top of that) (sys 96.) The only problem is that the top, smaller square fused to the larger,bott...

Paula's tutorial
Thanks Paula, I have read through twice and picked up some good info that I appreciate. Is the dishwash detergent that you use after grinding or sawing just a liquid dish soap or do you use a product for the dishwasher like Cascade?
