float fusing question
Hi, I am new, learning and experimenting. Using float, mica's and copper. I notice that when I put a clear cap on float, and full fuse to 1465 and hold 10 mins. the edges of glass are not fused together. You can still see two distinct edges and feel them as separate. Do I need a higher temp. with flo...

what caused this?
Fused my first jewelry pieces and got some kind of white marks on the black pendant with dichro-used BE clear as a top piece and got these white specks-not bubbles. What happened> the other pieces had the clear under the black and they were fine. Did I fuse too slowly. I have a new kiln, a Skutt Hot...

fusing question
Hi everyone, I am trying to fuse a round piece with several scraps, after it is fused, I want to slump it in a round mold. Question, do I overlap all the scrap pieces, or fit as close as I can, do I cover with a clear piece of glass? Can I fill the cracks in with frit? I should mention that it has a...

I am just starting out and have two questions for now. first, what are enamels(thompsons) are they like frit? do you fire them? second-I just took a very basic intro course. My first and only piece is a 10 square plate. Black ribbed spectrum with scraps of pink, white and dichroic. great colors. and...
