Woven glass

Bill, I had heard of woven glass but never remember seeing it. Breathtaking! Do you teach classes? I noticed you plan a section on technique. Please hurry up, for I haven't a clue as to how you do it. I'm not sure I could ever learn to do that, but I'd like to be able to understand your technique - ...

To Marla

Marla, My daughter lived for 10 years in a predominately Jewish neighborhood. They made lifelong friends there and majored on their similarities instead of their differences. Although my daughter now lives in Atlanta, they still visit frequently and talk even more often. At one of their gourmet dinne...

Jackie, I loved your new work, too. But, thinking back, I've never seen
any of your work I didn't like.

BTW, I had the same trouble viewing your pictures. After seeing one
up close, I want to see them all. Greedy girl.

Haydo, I had to chuckle when you said you were going to start a business for your wife's passions of cooking and doing the books. We've had multitudes of executives who have stolen millions of dollars and gotten away with it. Perhaps their wives shared your wife's passions but carried them too far. ...

Michael, what a terrific bowl! Did you spray on the mica and cap the
entire blank with clear glass? Love your clean and flowing design.

Lisa,

Great job. I'm so glad I bought your pattern bar tray at
WGW. I bought it because I loved it. When you are rich and
famous and commanding high prices, I'll be ever more grateful
I got some of your work when I did!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Glass Friends, Thank you for your help concerning my need for a wet belt sander. The Bible says "You have not because you ask not." I asked one man in person about a wet belt sander, and he gave me one free!! It's a Sinclair, and it is ready to go. As soon as I feed my family on Thanksgivi...

Bonus from my labeling adventure

Not only did the gallery co-op owner and I come to a friendly,
equitable solution about my payments, but he also gave me a
used Covington wet belt sander! I had another thread on this
because I really needed one. Now I have it - free - and that's
a very good price.

What is the best way to label glass so galleries will pay?

Dear Glass Friends, As always, you came through for me! I have just returned from the gallery co-op with a nice check in my hot little hands. It was very amicable since the owner is a good friend of many years and we both wanted to do what was right. It turned out to be a win/win situation. I am rem...

Thanks, friends, for all your input. If others have info or want to sell
a wet belt sander, please let me hear from you.

BTW, Brock, where do you get those cool Pyrex rod "feet for your large
sushi dishes? I've been looking for something like that for a long time.

Thanks,
Nita

wet belt sanders

Hi, Glass Friends, I know nothing about wet belt sanders and have never even seen one. However, I believe I need one now. I took Roger Thomas' two classes right after WGW. Today, I took from my kiln a 14 inch scene, 5/8"thick. I am really excited about it. Everything looks perfect except for th...

What is the best way to label glass so galleries will pay?

Dear Glass Friends, I am a member of a co-op. I have implicit trust in the owner of the gallery and we have drifted into "settling up at the end of the year" since I also buy supplies wholesale from him. He has become extremely busy with high end commissions and has no interest or time for...

I love the word "Canajun". Fusion language is often like fusion food:

Thanks to all of you for your advice. Is there any significant difference between the Cannon G2 and G3? Is one easier to use than the other? Paul, I'd frame the large pictures of the petunias. It is beautiful and looks somewhat like a magnificent watercolor. Nikki, I'm glad to see you are back. Love...
