Hey guys: I too am thinking about the Taurus III cuz I have no problem admitting that I am also a tool junkie. I realize that the ring saw would be something that I probably would use every couple of months, but my question is: I have a tile saw and my experience with it is that it makes a hell of ...

Re: chairs

Found mine at Pier One. Ann The Pier One Directors Chair is the best for doing shows because you sit at a high level (stool height) and your eyes are not too low to have a conversation with a standing person. The catch is that they are collapsible but not small or light. I always say that mine is d...

Ikea's got a nice tall folding stool with a back, just the right height, almost cheap enough to buy and leave at each ...

Re: wholesale crafts.com, input?

Hello fellow glassiers. I'm still in the process of checking out various outlets for possible future participation and was wondering if any of you out there have any experience/comments/or inside scoops on wholesalecrafts.com? I was able to check out their website with a temporary password, but it ...

Re: Best Tent for outdoor shows

Hi! For the past several years my husband and I have been using a Craft Hut tent. It's worked very well. We recently saw a Showoff tent by New Venture Products, Inc. The tent is easier to set up and offers great skylights. I'm wondering if anyone knows about its reliablity. Since I may have to set ...

Re: freezing in PA

Burrrr I'm freezing in my studio (garage) and so is the water in my equipment. Has anyone ever used an anti freeze mix. Someone suggested this and I thought I would ask the experts. I am adding heat and insulating the area so that I can work out there, but I'm not sure if I can stop the freeze :) a...

Re: P.O-ed and totally bummed out

Just pulled a gorgeous #1 fuse plate - blank out of the kiln. So happy with the perfectly formed edges, smooth full fuse top- controlled bubbling, I was doing the dance of joy. That is until I took it out into the bright light of the studio table. The dichro inclusions on the attached edge piece ha...

[quote="Ron Coleman"]Just playing with some more techniques.

BE French vanilla with silver foil accents, brass inserts and ebony handle.

Fused freestanding in the kiln, no sand with this one.

Nice gloss finish too.
