I probably have a few hundred wine labels that I've collected over the years. I soak in hot water with dish soap and most lables just float right off. Certain labels just won't come off in one piece. If a price tag was placed over the label you should remove that first before soaking. Good luck.

That's great, I just ordered some.... it's really expensive, too. I hate the texture part of it, but it sounded so great to not have thinfire or kilnwash to deal with.... too good to be true? Thanks for posting your results, Marty. I found removing the texture to be more trouble than it was worth. ...

Copyrights?
As discussed in the "Inspiration" thread, I have been accused of copying some one else. Here are pictures of the piece in question. They are the square wavy plate. I have not seen the pieces that are claimed to have been copied. The blank for this piece was made before I had even seen any ...

It's almost like why would you want to use someone else's language when one's own voice can be heard? It just seems, to me atleast, that it takes a whole hell of a lot more effort to use someone else's language when your own voice is right there trying to sing. Amy I like what Amy is saying. My opi...

so that means that anyone who does pattern bars is copying Lisa? or raking is copying Patty..........how absurd! THE HORSE IS DEAD...........GET OFF IT. :!: I got just the opposite out of the discussion. For example, I combed glass long before I took Patty's class last summer. In fact, I gave up my...

I just read through this thread up to now and with the exception of Jack Bowman, who has a real issue to deal with, I don't get it. I'm not sure what issue I have to deal with or how to deal with it. I mentioned in my original post that I wasn't particularly thrilled with the piece in question and ...

Funny that this thread should come up today. Two days ago I received a letter from a local artist accusing me of being unethical and violating copyright law. The peice in question was made by breaking stringer pulled from a drip pot. The curly stringer was then randomly placed on a clear blank and ...

Stuart asks... If I understand you correctly you have a angular grinder, I assume like the one in the link below, that has a set of rotating pads that goes to 1800. Where does one get diamond pads to fit those in the US? Anyone knows? Stuart, http://www.granitecitytool.com/stone-tool-cat.cfm?catnum=...

I was told that white out has some health warnings, that it might do something with the brain or nerves. Anyone know about this? We used white out and had great results on the surface of glass and even on the bottom. Since the warning of hazards with the use I stopped using it. Health/hazard warnin...
