I tried the lens cutter to cut a lot of circles and found I was running thru a lot of heads on it.

I did some research and found that Cutter's Mate was coming out with a new circle cutter. Is is called Circle Mate and it is wonderful. From very small ones to large circles.

In Durham, just off 85 there is Carolina Stain Glass that is getting more and more into Fused glass. I live in Richmond and stop off there on my way to or from Charlotte where my sis lives. They have always been very nice and helpful.

I saw the taurus 3 this past sunday. It is a sweet tool. Quieter than the 2.
It also can be taken off the table and used an a hand held tool.

The price will be around the same as the 2 now, but then the 2 will be sold for a cheaper price.

I have found that the black sharpies leave a residue on Irid. On all other glass I have had no problem with them buring off. On the other hand, the white pens used to outline that I got when I was doing stain glass turns yellow during firing.

Hotline's new Primo Primer.. anyone using?

I went to a demo last week for the Kaiser-Lee board and Petra mentioned Primo Primer. The benefits are no sticking ..... =D> ... and after it is used you brush it off and recoat the shelf.. no scraping and no ugly buildups. What is people's experience with it? I assume it is a 5 to 1 ration with mix...

Michael, When I was in Ireland last summer I ran into a glass blowing studio not far from you that blows glass. He uses old Coke bottles as his cullet. I am sure that he has an annealing kiln. He might be able to give you info as to where he got his parts. If you don't know who he is e-mail me off l...

Luckily I am doing this at a potters studio with their kiln so I don't have to worry about the high temp in my kiln. They have suggested using the high fire clay because there is less chance of warpage. As for shrinkage, this clay that we are using has a 10% shrinkage so I am taking that into consid...
