Re: Need help in "shaping" a draped piece.
You could try a two part slump. First slump into a bowl mold. Second slump/drape, turn the bowl upside down over your form so the sides are hanging down and watch and hold. I did that once a long time ago - didn't like the look of the wobbly bottomed bowl so draped it over a floral former. If memory...

Re: clay sticking in glass
Put it back in the kiln and heat it up. Start trying to remove it at 500 or so and then check every so often until you can pull it off. Don't forget to re-anneal, depending on how high you end up having to go.

Re: Schedule assistance - piece is in the kiln
Barbara, Well, I do most of my slumping at 1150 with a long hold. Believe me I thought about doing this in steps, but with the different layers I couldn't do that. Well I guess I could have cut a whole bunch of little clear squares and built up the levels so they were even and fired it and then adde...

Re: Lepage white glue residue
The glue burns out by 1000, so a higher process temp wouldn't help. Maybe try a different glue, or less of it. White glue doesn't always completely burn out, so try watering down by 50%. Re: Installing Fused Glass Panels in Restaurant Bar
How about if you have some MDF cut to size to fit the opening and use thinset to apply the panels to the MDF and you could screw the MDF (with panels already applied) to the wall. You'd have to leave spacing on the MDF with the panels to use screws, but at least you would be able to take it down and...

Re: UPDATE!! Quilt home
Peggy, We aren't even close to a date yet. I'm hoping for sometime in January, but it might not be until February. Depends on how quickly Charles and I get the installation form figured out, how long it will take to make it and all the tiles come in. Actually all the tiles probably need to be in han...
