Annealing Question
I am getting back into fusing glass. I have some small jewelry sized piesces that are double thick fully fused. I am now adding a decal to these pieces. These are low heat 24kt gold decals that say go to 1100. Do I have to anneal these? Just wondering if I can get by without it.
Thanks
Thanks

Forgot Studio Name
I have taken a class in Laurel MD and can not remember the name of the studio or the teachers. O'Toole? Can anyone help? They are closing their doors soon.

Re: Texture Tile Question
Even though you have fully fused your blank, you would still go to a contour fuse. For my kiln I would go slightly higher, maybe 20 degrees as the glass has to get soft enough to flow into the contour. I would not put any holes in the mold itself.

Re: Silver Foil
Where do you get silver foil? I went to Michaels and that did not look like real silver to me.

Devit Spray and Dichoric
I am making projects that seem to be getting devit on the second firing. These pieces will have dichroic on the top and tack fused. Will the clear coating affect the dichroic? TIA

Lesson Learned - Major Devit
I was in a hurry to make some discs for garden stakes. So I put a 10" one on a shelf and then decided to put a shelf above it with a 12" disc. Well, there was very ventilation for the bottom glass so I got major devit. Lesson learned. Now to get that stuff off. Since I do not have a sand b...

Best Glue for Garden Stakes
I am replacing some glass for a client in their garden stakes. So these will be outside. The stakes do not have a way to "clip" in the glass, only glueing to the metal. What glue would be best? E6000?

I've never participated in the Mag Exchange but would like to if you pull it together. I am a true novice when it comes to design but can have fun.

Boiling Glass?
I have seen several references on You Tube about boiling glass. It is where you put a layer of glass down, then bubble powder, then two more layers of glass. Take it to 1700 and and the bubbles rise and mix the glass. My thought is that it does not exactly "boil" is that so? I was wonderin...
