Re: oceanside QC

The prices of OGT have continued to rise to the point that they are now competitive with BE, KOK and others. I think they've become better at making the colors more vibrant. I've never had a bad experience with OGT for fusing. Hi Bob. Have you read the posts and opinions on OC from Craftweb? The bul...

Re: Alternative to Thinfire

The thing I like about Papyros is that if you're careful you can get several firings on it. I've gotten up to five. Often it depends on the color of the glass and how hot you go.

How is thin fire made?

Does anyone know the process in which thin fire paper or Papyros is made? Looking for more info other than it's just impregnated with a ceramic material. Thanks!

You would need to have them at least overlap or better yet on a clear base.

Re: Drill bit attachment

Because this is smoothing down the side of 1/4" flat glass, I want it to be super easy for the client. That is why I am sending her a 1" diameter Aanraku grinding bit. Easier to control than a smaller bit. I am suggesting someone spray water on the glass as she grinds it down. (I will mak...

Re: Drill bit attachment

You'd need a small steel rod with a flat side. The rod would go into the bit and then the allen screw would be used to tighten the bit to the rod. You could just find a diamond bit that is designed to fit in a drill. https://www.harborfreight.com/diamond-rotary-bit-set-4-pc-69664.html?utm_source=goo...

I've never used the screw in 40 years and I've cut all sorts of glass. I just take the screw out and throw it into the trash.

As for your T3....most likely the belt is bad. Stretched and just old. It's one of the most common parts to go bad and cause the blade to keep slipping off.

If anyone can tell me what I did wrong, let me know. I went to attachments, and added a file. It showed the file at the bottom but when I preview, all I see is my text. Tried drag/drop as well with the same result. Is there a size issue? Save the pic to your desktop and make it a jpeg. then click t...
