I saw it in Dallas. It was wonderful. Went back at night to see it with lights. Glass! Who would think you could get addicted to glass?

New Powder Painting
My latest powder painting. Created from a photograph taken on the Texas Bluebonnet Trail - bluebonnets and mesquite trees. I decided to use it as a backsplash. My goal is to have one for each season!

kiln wash
I know this is probably a useless question, but..........as I was hating having to scrape kiln wash off the shelf, and not being able to afford an "apprentice", I was wondering if anyone has a magic procedure or new invention. Is there an easy way to remove kiln wash from a shelf???? Pat p...

Re: New Colour Bar project
I always remember what Thumper said in the Bambi movie,"if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". I too have had some unkind comments, but on the whole, more encouraging than discouraging. I will post something soon too, just to show that mean people don't win. They are ...

Re: How to Make Rays of Sunlight?
I posted one of my landscapes in the photo section. I get the rays of moonlight or sunlight by fusing several times with a light color that fits with the rest of the scene. Hope this helps!@

Brock, You are right. Miriam is a master. I took her class and have adapted many of her techniques to meld with my own. Find they work perfectly in concert with each other! I also took classes from other glass artists and have incorporated their instructions also. Art is a progression of learning. P...

Sorry to be so long in answering your questions. The Kayenta Mountains are 11 x 17 and 4 layers thick. The Midnite in the forest is 9.5 x 13 and 4 layers thick. I did not use Transluscent White, but regular white. This was my most exciting piece so far. My favorite colors, I guess. Thanks to everyon...
