Mold slumping hand prints

I am trying to make a mold for slumping of my sister and her soon to be husband's hand print. I tried a cement mold last night, but it didn't hold the hand print well. I would like to try a plaster mold but I don't know the ratio of plaster to silca. Can anyone help me. Is there a better way of doin...

I tried experimenting with kiln wash last night, but didn't get the effect I wanted. I took a look at the glass site and though they had awsome designs, it wasn't what I had seen. Fused surf pattern on table?

I recently seen a fused table top that had a pattern like the surf makes on the sand. It was very beautiful. Does anyone know how to achieve this type of pattern on the class. It seemed to be fused in, so I was thinking it was achieved with kiln wash somehow. I wished I could explain it better. Than...
