I thought that it would be fun to take a blue bottle and recycle it into a moble. So I smashed it into course chuncks and places it in a clay mold. I fired it several times hoping it would melt/fuse but I have been stumped so far on how hot it needs to go. The last attempt was 1800 degrees with a 10...

Look beyond the pot itself... :shock: I have found the combination of glass in the pot as well as glass on the lower shelf can produce what you are wanting. I use a large clay pot saucer on the bottom shelf, kiln washed, as a dam for the resulting potmelt. For your application I would cut several ci...
