Cutting Fiber board for molds

I got a large piece of 1" fiberboard to use for mold making. I'm finding it very difficult to get a clean edge on this material Is ther a secret I dont know? I have already fired the pieces before i try to carve them is this proper or should I try it the other way? Any help will be appreciated ...

Another Fiber Board Question

I also have just gotten some 1" FB and appreciated the info about firing it. Now is it better to carve the mold before or after firing the board? New to fusing and this is a wonderful source of information, I really appreciate it..Thanks. javascript:emoticon(':D')

Stacking Glass for the bandsaw?

I'm in the process of making a half-dozen yin-yang symbols for the members of my Tai-Chi class. These will be small 1" in diameter. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for stacking the pieces to cut out the shapes on the bandsaw so they will all be matched for the fuse?
