Jackie - I've stayed away due to many of the issues you mention. Most of my dichro is clear capped which is why I can cold work them into any shape I can dream up. Also, 14k is acceptable otherwise surgical steel or titanium would be required. I can work with gold, not ready for surgical steel or ti...

This is good stuff, keep em coming. I cold work just about every piece I build. Grinding, reshaping, and polishing. I can remove the big industrial look this way. Thinking of screw type, threaded gold ball. The glass would be bezel set and fixed, or dangle. The problem I foresee, these little tiny p...

Navel Rings

Because I live in at least two worlds, glass and metal, I'm always thinking of new items to try. For several months I've had the idea to try navel rings. A good friend has given me all the information I need to proceed. Being and old fart, I knew nothing about these new fangle objects. My idea is to...

Stainless rods with bead release applied should do the trick. I purchase all my rods from a welding shop at a fraction of the price glass suppliers sell them for. And, the diameter is my choice.

Using thinfire "AT ALL" has been a question in my studio. For my jewelry work I don't touch the stuff. Just make sure the shelf is primered well.

My question is, what is the general consensus of using shelf paper?

Artists Bio

It's time that I put some sort of bio together. Just like lots of other things, I don't know the first thing about it. Would any of you be willing to share info on ideas for these things? Ideas for formats, text etc.

Any help would be so greaty appreciated.

thanks millions

Sorry to side track your question. I do understand your point. That work is very difficult not to comment about in a derogatory manner.

Personally, I believe this "lacking" work reflects on all of us as artists. If that’s true, then yes, it absolutely does impact kiln formed work overall. Maybe I simply hate the ticky tacky crap that all too many people seem to create? :? Additionally, I see little if any artistry in suc...

I do not allow other artists to photograph anything in my booth. It's a personal thing. Nothing we do is secret. Nor did we invent the techniques etc that are used. Designs are ours. I am delighted to share information with anybody that asks. Photos are available off the net, brochures etc. so yes t...

I spoke with the moderators on that site. Photo sharing is not allowed. Which I understand and respect completely. They must have a bug since some photos work and others don't. We've tried various PC's around the office which have never had my photos on them, some work, some don't. Ah the wonderful ...

Brad - My day job is technology. We're scratching our heads too. Sometimes you just have to forget about it. Better things to think about anyhow. Like where's the next show.

Brad, generally I would agree with you. There's something different about this occurance. I purged every cache file on my PC trying to make it work. Purged everthing, history as well.

Oh well. Back to the techy day job.
