Re: need a thin black line
The Josephine glass black has a low melting frit in it. It would dissipate the most of the three. I guess that either of the other two will do as well as anything else available. Rather than putting stock in my guess you could of course test them. I new I should test them ...........but Easter is s...

Yep, agreed Terri! What I don't understand is why people are willing to spend the amount of money they do on supplies but don't want to invest anything (time or money!) in their education. Valerie I could not agree with you more. When I started I spent more on my education than on glass and kilns m...

Re: How low and long to slump
I know of the usual slumping schedule for Bullseye, that takes the temp up to 1385. It works fine for most pieces that are full fused to 6mm. My question is how to allow for a much thicker piece? I have a pot melt that is probably a good 8 or 9 mm in the center. It does thin out a bit towards the e...

Re: slumping over corrugated iron
I have a 2.1cm thick (7 layers of Bullseye glass) x 25 cm long and 8 cm wide piece I would like to slump over corrugated iron so it stands up by itself. I wonder if just coating the iron with kiln wash will work or should I use fibre paper instead? Does anyone out there have experience with slumpin...
