in my kiln, 1530f does the job. i hold at 1030f for 20 min........ then 85 dph to 945.........then 165dph to 800f..then off. brick side fire ceramic kiln. rosanna

hi andy, get some cones a hundred deg or so hotter than you intend to fire. use them as overtemp protection in your sitter if you intend to fire by pyrometer. rosanna

hi brian, oxalic acid will work. it is sold in a crystal form as wood bleach over here. it is also the active ingrediant in zud tm cleanser. i use it to remove tannin stains from boat hulls. a mild solution of this will remove what would take a smoking concentration of muriatic to do the job. rosanna

hi bert, clr is not a useful product in my opinion. if toilet bowl cleaner does not work, try going to lowes or someplace like that and buying a product for getting sprinkler stains off stucco/brick etc. these products do the job but are buffered or something so they do not do too much collateral da...

it is also possible that you have a bad meter. if your usage is off compared to other samesized houses/apartments. i had that happen once in an old shack i rented. rosanna

i use a mixture of triple antibiotic ointment with pain killer with a couple of drops vit e oil. i just bite a capsule, squirt some out and swallow the rest. this is good at night. rosanna
