Thank you for sharing your journey.
I really, really think these are intriguing and well done. They made me study them a long time.
The 3rd one is my favorite also. Much time involved.
You inspired my glass making day

Re: Magless Exchange
Oh, thank you for the reminder, Emily. I participated once in 2010, AND by a lovely coincidence, today I am wearing my favorite piece from the many good pieces I received in that exchange. It is a glossy black glass square with an elegant sandblasted swan made by Tony Smith. I have kept all of those...

Simply thank you.
You have just inspired me to try harder and different.
The ideas are in my head, but not the kiln.
Very, very trippy and wonderful.

Can you tell us what glasses you used in the reaction, and how high the temperature?
Thank you for sharing.

I truly love your controlled big bubble pieces.
These are thought provoking and inspiring in their stretching, both physically & mentally.

Re: Setting up a Sandblaster - Compressor Size
Thank you, Tony, for taking time to clarify.
I do mostly small pieces, but occasionally want to sandblast the devit off plate or bowl blanks.
I will continue to consider options.
Need and want are 2 different things, eh?
with appreciation for all the good help on this forum, Joyce

My thanks goes to Kevin. I read your post carefully, twice, and I think you gave me the correct answer for my work.
Again, thanks for the money and time saved.

"What a clever use of material. Understated, elegant, well executed."

Re: Mother's Day gift 911!
So sorry about your bowl. I have had rounds do that same thing and have never got them to flatten back out evenly at all. not perfectly round and wrinkles, buckles. Given your short window of time, my thought, without seeing the design, is set it on a floral former to create a draped vase. Use that ...

Also look at Tandy Leather.
If you do order from Tandy, do it with a local franchise rather than the website and you will probably get your order in 2 days rather than a week. Just my experience in MT.
