Thanks for all the input..I'm thinking that perhaps the white had a problem with multiple firings and became unstable...dont plan to re use this glass..will keep it as a lesson.

PICT0141.JPG I have a bowl made of Be red with some pieces having a light overcoat of White. these were cut into strips, fused, sandblasted, then fired again to a slump. flattening a bowl
Have a bowl that I foolishly tried slump and firepolish at the same time..now the exterior of the bowl picked up some marks where it hung up on the mold. I would like to re flatten the bowl and am wondering if it would be better to have it rightside up or upside down to successfully reflatten it? an...

Firing Schedule
I have some old Clay drainpipes that are about 3/4" thick. I was thinking of lining one piece that is 6"dia x 11" tall with fibre paper, filling it with scrap, and firing it. I'm thinking a 300dph to 1100..hold for 20 , AFAP to 1500 hold for 1 hour, cool to 900 then hold for many hour...

In my experience No. You may be able to fuse on the top shelf and slump on the bottom shelf

If you cant find a shop to help you, you might try to bend the metal and move it back and forth until it breaks..you will need to have a vise or something to hold it rigidly across its length. A hacksaw or Tile saw would work as well.
