Re: Some Bones

I find this very amazing!
Very interesting.
At the beginning I thought it was the real bones, not the glass. I suggest you try to develop this more. Do you know that Henry Moore, one of the greatest sculptors of 20th century was inspired by bones??

Good luck,

How do I present my Art?

Hi dears! We are going to have an exhibition in the small town where I live. Its title is "Flooding". So I made kind of flood from glass. You can see the photo below. The curator likes it very much, yet we have discussions on how to present it. I think it should be laid on the floor, with ...

Re: I got the decals - in contiuation of block printinhg...

Dear Dana, We have an idiom in Hebrew - "will not be valued by Gold" - i.e. very very precious. Yes your advice is inestimable precious. The truth is, that I was so scared of transferring the decal to the glass that I took a cab to the person who made it, and had HIM transfer it! Lo and be...

Any tip here???

Re: Woodblock printing on glass - ?

Thanks, Don Decal paper is an option that can be done here. Can it be in red color??? I never did it, but I can inquire. I know they make decals here. Will just have to call the person who makes them. It could complete a series of prints with the same woodblock! I tell you this WARM GLASS , had help...

Re: Woodblock printing on glass - ?

Many thanks Dana, For chiming in and for giving your advises. Unfortunately, Israel is not USA - - - I do not think we have here, this stamps with the glue that you mention, It seems better for me to give up the whole idea, as I have other ideas which could be fulfilled quicker and easier. Woodblock printing on glass - ?

Hello dear friends, I want to print the texture of a piece of wood I have, on glass. I have printed it a lot on paper. I have no idea how to transfer the image to the glass. I tried a flexible silicon sheet - transferred the image to it, and then to the glass, but it did not work, in any direction. ...

Re: How do I present my Art?

Dear Barry, Thank you SO much for the quick response, and the link you sent me. But I am absolutely perplexed now. Because we, the artists, met one of the jurors for this very special museum exhibition, actually two. The glass curator, and one of the additional jurors. We were told , to send ONE ima...

I am supposed to send an application for a competition in which I want to participate - and of course be among the winners. I have to ...

Re: Damming a curved line

Thanks Don, I never thought about what you say.... Sounds good idea. Still Do you think that slow firing will be enough to avoid [or go beyond] the difference in temperature between the edges and the middle of the piece, considering that the cermaguard is insulating the edges.. Brad? Thanks again an...

Re: Damming a curved line

Thanks, Brad We get cermaguard in Israel, this was my original idea, but my experience is that cermaguard works as an insulator, therefore may cause a thermal shock. So was thinking to put between the c.guard and the glass 3 m'm fiber paper. [like what you say above] Do you think that this would be ...

Damming a curved line

Hello friends, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year I want to make a piece , whose contours on one edge are completely curved. I want to do it strip-fusing. It must be dammed, but I am not sure I know how. I was thinking of making a dam from 1/2" fiber board. But I know that this thickness of fiber b...
